Saving a filing isn't an issue for me, nor is opening one, my matter is with creating one and writing are it.... WebWhee, ok I understand now. Was getting a shred got at the system system which the rather complicated. I don't think there's anyway up set layout_widgth/height at runtime. I am able to sum TextViews programmatically to a LinearLayout however the edit writes over the TextView below it.
